Chrome extension
Install the Remarkify Chrome extension, send any selection to your reMarkable from the right-click menu, and see what each permission is for.
Install and sign in
Add it to Chrome
Install Remarkify from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to the toolbar so you can see your credits.
Sign in
Click the Remarkify icon, then Sign in. A remarkify.app tab opens; once you sign in there the extension picks up your session by itself.
Connect your tablet, if you haven't yet
Sending needs a connected reMarkable. See Getting started.
Send a selection
Select text on any page, right-click inside the selection and choose Send to reMarkable. A small notice in the corner of the page tells you it is converting, then that it was sent. The notebook appears in your library once the tablet syncs.
What comes along:
- Headings, paragraphs, bold, italic and underline
- Bulleted and numbered lists
- Tables
- Images inside the selection, when Include images is on in Preferences. They are redrawn in your chosen image style.
The toolbar popup
Clicking the icon shows who you are signed in as, your plan and how many sends you have used. From there you can open your settings on remarkify.app, upgrade or sign out. Style settings live on the website so they are the same on every device.
Messages you might see
- Not Logged In / Session Expired
- Click the icon and sign in again.
- No device paired
- Your account has no reMarkable connected. Connect it from Account.
- No Credits Remaining
- On the free plan, upgrade to Plus. On Plus, the allowance refills at the start of your next month. See Plans and credits.
- No Text Selected
- The right-click happened outside a selection. Select the text first, then right-click on it.
- Conversion Failed
- Check History to see whether it went through, then see Troubleshooting.
Permissions, and why

| Active tab and scripting | Reads your current selection, text and images, on the tab where you clicked. Nothing runs on other tabs. |
| Storage | Keeps your session so you stay signed in. |
| remarkify.app and api.remarkify.app | Sends the selection to Remarkify and receives your sign-in from the website. |
| All sites (optional) | Chrome asks for this only when your selection sits inside an embedded frame, so the extension can read the selection from that frame. You can decline; everything else keeps working. |
